Blower Fan Motor Not Working

If the thermostat does not have continuity replace it.

I went ahead and replaced the blower motor resistor and cabin air filter but it is still completely dead. The most common symptom of a faulty blower motor resistor is a blower fan that only works on one speed usually high. Some control the blower fan with a relay. If both the compressor and the fan motor won t run use a multimeter to test the temperature control thermostat for continuity.

You should be able to find this relay or sequencer by tracing the blower motor wires back to the relay or sequencer. If the motor still does not turn the motor is bad. One of the most common problems with furnace fans is a bad blower relay. The first thing to do is check the relay or voltage from the board.

Connect the red lead to a power source and then to the leads on the motor side of the disconnected connector. If you are getting 24 volts between g and c then you probably have a fan relay problem or sequencer problem.
